Ruffle Skirt

Recently a friend was telling me about making a skirt for herself using the ruffle fabric. Well of course I had to have one too. I purchased the ruffle fabric on a recent  trip to Hobby Lobby using a 40% off coupon and finally got around to making it yesterday afternoon. it took less than 1/2 hour. I didn't have the new decorative elastic like she said she used for hers so i used this elastic from Hancocks.
I used 1 width of the fabric and seamed the seam and then serged. I sewed the elastic in a circle and marked the quarter points on the elastic and on the skirt. Then matching those points up I stitched the two together stretching the elastic as I sewed.
I am pretty short at about 5'3" so my skirt is 22 inches long.
